Recruitment Event Application & Conversion Figures
Dear Hong Kong Police Force Administration Wing,
The Hong Kong Police Force regularly conducts targeted outreach events, including the Recruitment Experience & Assessment Day (READ) and related recruitment day events, to facilitate on-site applications and early-stage selection. Historical administrative records detailing event participation and subsequent appointment outcomes are necessary to understand the operational efficiency and conversion rate of these outreach events.
Under the Code on Access to Information, I would like to request the following records for each of the past four financial years (2022–23, 2023–24, 2024–25, and 2025–26 to date):
1. Recruitment Event Application & Conversion Figures: For each conducted Recruitment Experience & Assessment Day (READ) or major Recruitment Day event, please provide:
(a) The total number of applications submitted on-site or generated via the event, broken down by grade (Probationary Inspector vs. Recruit Police Constable).
(b) The total number of candidates originating from these specific events who were ultimately appointed/attested into the Force, broken down by grade (Probationary Inspector vs. Recruit Police Constable).
If any of the requested records cannot be provided, please state the specific provision or exemption under the Code on Access to Information relied upon.
